What's better than a beautiful surprise proposal as the sun sets in the woods? Maybe capturing it all to remember the moment forever- Meet Abbie and Joe!

This may be deceiving... as this proposal was actually about a year and a half ago. But these two just celebrated their wedding day this past weekend and I wanted to remember back to this sweet, perfect, romantic evening.

It all started on Abbie's birthday, she celebrated with her sister and close friends during the day and then went to a fancy dinner with Joe that evening. On their way home Joe took a small detour and suggested a quick walk to Abbie's favorite spot overlooking the river.

Joe had set up Christmas lights around all the trees in this clearing near her home by the river. He set out a table with a jewelry box he handcrafted and a sweet card.

They walked into the clearing hand in hand as their song was playing in the background (and I was hiding in the trees wearing camouflage and holding back tears). She read the card and Joe got down on one knee and asked Abbie to be his wife.

This was such a beautiful moment to witness and capture! As you can tell, she said yes!

Joe ended the evening with a surprise party with all of Abbie's closest family and friends! Congrats to this married couple- they said yes!

And any guys out there... if you're thinking of proposing to your special lady soon, let me know! I've hidden crouched in bushes, behind trees, even in the balcony of a church and I'm ready to capture your special moment too.

I want to capture the moment that goes by so quickly, but you want to remember for a lifetime. The moment that is so nerve wracking but exciting that you never want to forget that feeling. The moment that you want to share with your children and your children's children.
